Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler

Thursday night Hattiesburg had its first Mardi Gras parade.  A group of us from work got together with all of their kids to attend the event. The newspaper predicted 7,000 would attend the event which just blew my mind I mean this is Hattiesburg!

The parade was everything I expected it to be. Crowded, poorly organized, a shortage of beads, and a wonderful time! For the first parade I think it was successful and hope it becomes a yearly tradition! On a side note Sonny requested a moon pie and the only one we caught was thrown out by Wesley!

The sweet girls waiting on the parade
I was trying to get a picture of how crowed it was
The best group shot I could come up with...

Bridesmaids

In case you haven't heard Jordy's getting married!

She has the following things....
Groom
Date
Venue
Preacher
Food
Dress
and a million other details worked out but now she has......

Bridesmaids!

She took all but two of her bridesmaids hopefuls to dinner to officially ask us!! The other two couldn't make it she didn't just invite her favorites!

The hearts where so precious! She was very excited too! She couldn't wait to give them to us! Such a cute idea! Jordy has really been impressive making decisions and being creative! The bride has gotten the best of her in a good way!!

Maybe it is because we are just so fun or pretty, or maybe they were just bored but after a while the boys decided to join us! Dere' LaRouge was really a fun place! I have been there to eat before but between the one man band followed by karaoke a good time was had by all!

Bring on The Showers and Bacho trip!

The Boy Of Summer

I can see you
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your  sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer have gone...

I don't know why but this song  makes me think of the first summer I spent with Hovatter in 2003! Luckily our ending was a little bit different then in the song!

Sweet baby Hovatter of 21 years!

On January 30th he Celebrated the Big 30! My friend Kayln informed me this was his gloden birthday or something like that! However, she may have made that up!

So I tried for months to plan something fantastic for his birthday! A party, dinner or really just anything but he wasn't interested.

He deceided he would like a dinner at home prepared my yours truely!! So that's what he got!

The Card from his parents!

We share a favorite in cakes! Yellow with chocolate icing! Yummy!
He had already gotten his present from me so I decided to hide a gift card under his balloons!
I just couldn't not give him something on his birthday!
The meal he requested! Open face roast beef sandwich and home cut baked fries! Easy enough!

I laughed way more at his card then he did!

His gift from me! All the items he needed to built a new rod for Cobia fishing!!
The colors and pattern he went with!!

In the fall we are planning a trip for his birthday! We're currently thinking the Keys or a cruise maybe! Hopefully somewhere that looks like this!

Happy Birthday Hovatter!
Enjoy being old!
